Khachapuri- Sakartvelo cuisine
Sakartvelo cuisine
Khachapuri is a traditional Georgian dish that symbolises the richness and hospitality of Georgian cuisine. Its name comes from two words: "khacha", meaning "curd" or "cheese", and "puri", meaning "bread". It is essentially a cheese-filled bread, usually filled with sulguni or another type of cheese, which has a mild, slightly salty flavour.
Chinkali - Sakartvelo cuisine
Sakartvelo cuisine
Chinkali are traditional Georgian dumplings with a succulent meat filling, usually made from beef or pork and seasoned with spices. They are shaped into a pouch with a wrinkled top and cooked to retain their juiciness. Chinkalis are eaten with a bite, so that you taste the juices first and then the rest of the filling and the dough. It is one of the symbols of Georgian gastronomy, famous for its unique shape and taste.

Also had a very delicious semi sweet, spicy Georgian wine I can heartily recommend.
It was excellent for him to instruct me how to properly eat the lamb broth Dumplings with my hands and recommend the very delicious cheese cake. I shall be going back again the next time I am in Riga.

Khinkali with coriander were tasty too, but I had better dumplings in Frankfurt/Armenia/Georgia.
For 2 dishes and one beer I paid around 30 euros. Food was really filling 👌🏻
